BAMBOO COMPOSITE MAT MAXITRACK EUCALYPTUS CRANE MAT The Bamboo Composite Mat is engineered from laminated veneer Bamboo which is a grass. These mats have been designed to overcome some of the natural limitations of timber. The panels in the design maximize the inherent flexibility of bamboo, allowing them to bend on uneven ground. The Bamboo Composite Mat is stronger and less susceptible to breakage. The product retains less than 10% water, compared to at least 30% moisture retention with traditional hardwood. This means that transportation costs between applications are a fraction of those with timber road systems. • Bamboo Composite Mat is perfect for rubber-tyred or rubber-tracked vehicle. • Marwood Group Ltd also recommends that traffic over the Bamboo Composite Mat must be kept at a safe and low speed as per the site-specific risk assessment. This will also minimise any physical damage to the mat. • Marwood Group Ltd highly recommends the use of appropriate leading edge protection to provide a smooth transition from the ground to the mat. This will also minimise damage to the edge of the Bamboo Composite Mat. • The four-lifting points present must only be used to lift the mat. • The mat must not be used for bridging purposes. • The allowed maximum load per mat is subjected to the ground conditions. MaxiTrack Mat is an innovative approach to temporary ground protection. The lightweight 40kg mats can be handled by two workers without the need for specialist lifting equipment or expensive crane hire. (Subject to site-specific risk assessment). The mats are extremely heavy duty and incredibly strong and able to support loads up to 50 tonnes on firm, dry ground conditions, and heavier vehicles up to 80 tonnes, subject to ground conditions. Overlapping flanges provide maximum support, reduced slippage, and mud suppression, with unique slotted joints to cope with heat expansion on large areas. MaxiTrack mats have reversible tread patterns for multi-use, with the unique Smart Grip on one side giving superior grip in all directions, and Octa Grip on the other featuring high-performance octagonal lugs. Two person lift with hand cut outs for easy handling and installation. The mat comes in two versions which have treads on one side or treads on both sides. The single-sided mat has a smooth side underneath that can be used to drive over sidewalks, asphalt, tarmac, concrete driveways, tile floors and can work on flat roofs. The treaded surface side of the UGP mat is aimed at dispelling mud but will still give grip to rubber tyred vehicles or pedestrians as they cross the UGP mats. The double sided mats have traction on both sides i.e. tyre to mat and mat to ground. The traction tread built into the underside of the mat aids gripping to the surface, whether that be soil, grass or synthetic turf. These small treads prevent sliding and provide stability of the mat. Universal Ground Protection Mat can be used across a wide range of industries including utilities, construction and civil engineering projects, drilling contractors, emergency access, temporary access road and work areas, sports facilities and recreational grounds, gardens, parks, golf courses, cemeteries and a multitude of other applications. UNIVERSAL GROUND PROTECTION MAT Please Note: The mats with the smooth side underneath do NOT work well on hillsides and slopes as there is no traction and can also be slippery to foot traffic when wet.
