Man Riding Column Skip
Designed and tested to overcome the problems associated with the pouring of columns. These crane skips have a built in platform with all necessary safety rails which enable operators to be raised with the skip to directly control the flow of concrete being poured. Provision is also made for transporting a vibrating poker unit if required. There is no need for any additional scaffolding or support. The crane skips are fitted with a gear operated “clam shell” type shutter which has the advantage of releasing the contents centrally into a fixed circular hopper mounted directly below the shutter. When using a four leg chain sling to connect the skip to the lifting appliance the chains should be rated at W.L.L x 8 and fitted with safety hooks. We can provide a purpose made cruciform spreader beam if required.
Safety Tip: The use of a safety harness with an appropriate lanyard is compulsory
